Trend Analysis

Across the selected range, Germany records the strongest cumulative movement at +7.08%, while Japan has the smallest average year-to-year movement in the displayed series. The latest wage values place Germany above Japan by $26,102. Read that gap alongside the lines rather than as a living-standard conclusion: the chart shows PPP-adjusted annual wage observations, not taxes, household composition, or non-wage benefits. Where a line pauses, dips, or recovers, the path stays visible at the selected annual observations. No missing year is filled or interpolated, and the result does not infer a policy, labour-market, or inflation cause.

How to Read the Chart

Wage Value shows PPP-adjusted annual wage. Growth Index rebases the first selected year to 100 so relative movement can be compared.

  • Results update immediately when an input changes.
  • Wages use PPP-adjusted average annual wage values.
  • Price indices use United States = 100 as the reference.
  • Missing data is shown as –; the tool never fills zero, interpolates, or falls back to another year.

Wage Value vs. Growth Index

Wage Value plots the PPP-adjusted annual wage level for each selected economy. Growth Index rebases every selected economy to 100 in the first year of the range, so relative momentum can be compared even when wage levels differ widely.

Calculation Method

Trend lines use reported yearly values only. Growth Index = (wage in year ÷ wage in first selected year) × 100. Measure a Period reads the start and end values directly and derives absolute, total, and annualized change from them.
